CHAPTER 147
MINERALS (PROHIBITION OF EXPORTATION) ACT.\n<\/p>\n

\n

Commencement<\/i>: 25 February, 1975.\n<\/p>\n

<\/b>   An Act to prohibit the exportation of certain minerals from Uganda.<\/b><\/p>\n

\n

<\/a>1.<\/b>   Interpretation.\n<\/p>\n

<\/b>   “Minister”<\/b> means the Minister to whom functions under this Act are assigned.<\/p>\n

\n

<\/a>2.<\/b>   Prohibition of export of minerals.\n<\/p>\n

<\/b>   (1) There is prohibited the exportation from Uganda of any mineral specified in the Schedule to this Act, hereafter referred to as a “scheduled mineral”, without the licence of the Minister.\n<\/p>\n

<\/b>   (2) The Minister may, by statutory order, amend the Schedule to this Act.<\/p>\n

\n

<\/a>3.<\/b>   Application of Act.\n<\/p>\n

<\/b>   Section 2 shall have effect without prejudice to any written law providing for any similar condition under which any scheduled mineral may be exported from Uganda.<\/p>\n
