FOREIGN SERVICE OFFICERS (FEES AND CHARGES) ACT.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0An Act to make provision for the fees and charges of foreign service officers and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/a>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Power to prescribe fees and charges.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The Minister may, by statutory order, prescribe the fees and charges which may be taken or imposed for any matter or thing done by a foreign service officer in the discharge of the duties or functions of his or her office or of any other duties or functions which he or she may be authorised to perform by virtue of his or her office.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/a>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Disposal of fees and charges, etc.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Any fees and charges prescribed by an order made under this Act\u2014<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0(a<\/i>)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0shall, when taken, form part of the revenue of Uganda and shall be disposed of as such in accordance with the Public Finance Act; and<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0(b<\/i>)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0subject to the provisions of that Act, shall be levied and accounted for, and may be remitted, in accordance with directions issued by the Minister.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/a>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Notice of fees and charges to be displayed.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A notice specifying the fees and charges prescribed by any order made under this Act shall be conspicuously displayed in the office of every mission and in every consular office.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/a>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Provisions when fees or charges prescribed under other laws.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0When any fee or charge prescribed by an order under this Act differs from a fee or charge fixed or prescribed for the same matter or thing under any other written law, the fee or charge which may be taken or imposed by a foreign service officer shall be that prescribed under the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
